About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

Crafty Catz Challenges February 23rd 2024

Hello once again, from a cold corner in Perthshire.   Oh I wish the winter was away!!  I hate this cold weather.  I love seeing the snowdrops and daffodils all popping up in the garden, promising that spring is on the way.

This week, in Crafty Catz Challenges, we are sponsored by

Grab My Button

http://beccysplace.com/

Becky has a real mixture of digital stamps.  Some are really amusing and others are beautiful, like the one I chose, and used on my card.

The theme this fortnight is to use more than one fold.  I made an Easel card, which has 2 folds!!

Why Don't you go to look at  beautiful array of stamps at Becky's Place?

The card I am using is called Valentine and I think it is super.  I have used it as a Valentine's card, but I can see myself using it for other things too.

I will be giving this card to my husband of 22 years.
We don't really do presents,  but we do swap cards.

Have you got a card for your nearest and dearest yet?  This digital download would be wonderful, don't you think?  I think the rest of the design team has made some wonderful cards too.  It is worth looking at the blog to see them

Crafty Catz Challenges 12th January 2024

 Hello once again and

Happy New Year!!  I am so glad to get back to normal though, aren't you?

I hate it when I don't know what day it is!

There will be a wee change at Crafty Catz Challenges  Instead of weekly, it will now be fortnightly.  The same rules apply, theme is always Anything Goes, with an extra option as well.

So, onto the first challenge of 2024  Sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps

The theme is No Design Paper

The stamp I have used is called Loves to Bake

I used my Promarkers for the first time in ages, and I'm not very happy with my colouring.  I will need to use my pens more often than my pencils!!  The colour of the photograph is a bit strange too, so I'm not sure what is going on!!

So, it is over to you.  Get your card made and put it on

Craftycatz Challenge #24/11

Hello again!  I'm afraid I have been "missing in action" for the month of October.

My daughter Marie married her FiancĂ© Jordan, on 21st October in Fingask Castle here in Perthshire.  it was a wonderful day, and it went off without a hitch.  We now have lots of photographs and lots of happy memories.

So, on to the task at hand.

The new challenge at Crafty Catz Challenge Blog is

Anything Goes, with the option of Christmas or Winter.

We are sponsored by the wonderful Hettie Clare, and the image I have used is called Country Girl Christmas

This is my card.

,

She is such a cute image.  I coloured her using my Promarkers, and I tried to limit the colours to red, green and yellow.

So, I have so much to do, and not much time to do it in.  I will slowly tick things off my To Do List until they are al

l done though!

Bye for now, remember to look over at Craftycatz weekly challenge

I'll be back next week!

Crafty Catz #151

Hello once again!  It is sunny here today, with a very strong wind

and the temperature has well and truly dropped.  I wish I stayed where it was warm all the time!!

The challenge at Crafty Catz Challenges is

Have a watercolour background and we have no sponsor this week.

I have used a card which I have just made with the ladies in my Craft Class.  They all really liked it, and they enjoyed making it.  I try to do different forms of crafting with them, and I am always looking for new things for them to try.

Yellow is a colour I don't use very often, but I must confess, I do like the way this card turned out.  It was funny when the ladies realised I had used a Dymo machine to make the sentiment, and they were saying how unusual it was to do that on a card.  I do like the effect though.
Now, it is over to you.  enter your card at Crafty catz weekly challenge and you may be picked as a winner!!
