About Me

My photo
Perth, Perthshire, United Kingdom
Welcome to my little corner of the World! I live in Perthshire Scotland with my wonderful husband Eric. We have a daughter, Corinne who is married to Rob and lives in New Zealand, with their boys Harrison and twins Hadley and Dylan. Marie who has a wee boy Jackson, and Greg and his wife Kim, their wee girl Freya, even smaller baby boy Freddie and dog Buddy. I am happy when I am in my craft room, and I love making cards for Charity and also for commissions. I love scrapbooking, and I get my inspiration from my Grandchildren. They are the subjects in most of my Scrapbooking layouts. I have just started to do Mixed Media work, and I am loving it!! I have just started a craft group at our local Church centre, aptly called Saints and Scissors Club! If you can't find me, I will be in my craft room, buried under tons of stash lol!

The challenge this week at Mo's Digital Challenge Blogspot is "Masculine".  I know that crafters groan when they have to make a masculine card, but I am quite used to them now, as I have 4 Grandsons and make their cards, and scrapbook albums all the time.  The image above from Mo is called Taking a Break and shows a boy and his dog having a rest from playing ball.
I coloured the image using Promarkers
I used papers from DCWV - All About Boys
Eyelets were from my stash
Baker's twine was free from a craft magazine
This card should have been entered into Mo's challenge last week, when the theme was "At the Park"  I missed the deadline by 1 day,  but thought I would share it this week too!  This wee image is just so cute!  I love her wee ladybird backpack!  I am loving making clouds on cards at the moment, I just cant help myself! LOL!!!
Well, must go and get some work done.  I am being very lazy today and would be quite happy to sit here bloghopping!
Take care all and thanks for stopping!

This is the sketch for Let's Scrap.  I have decided to try to get Marie's scrapbook finished.  Poor thing, she has been waiting forever!!
These photos were taken when Marie and Willie stopped off in Singapore on the way home from New Zealand.  They did a tour of the islands and stopped off at Kusu Island.  I used one of their tickets, and a map and information from the brochure they picked up.  Marie was given the red and gold envelope by a man in a shop.  It was at the time of the Chinese New Year, and they give red envelopes with money as presents at this time.  I used some of the money they had left to tuck in the envelope.  I bought the fans in either Japan or China (can't remember which! LOL!!!) and felt they just finished off the right hand side.

I used papers from Webster's Pages - Your Life and
Prima - Paradise City
Lettering - Basic Grey

Kenny K

Hello from a cloudy and cold St. Madoes.
There was a design Team Call over at Kenny K Krafty Girlz Challenges so I made some of my cards featuring Kenny K digital images. I was a day too late to get them in to be considered, but no matter!!!  The card above is the one I made for my husband for his birthday.  I found I had this paper which looks like the material bandannas are made from, so I thought it went with the cowgirl image.

This image is one of my favourites.  I just love the expression on this wee guy's face.  He is so happy with his goldfish!  I can remember being equally excited when I won one many many moons ago!!!  My Mum took over looking after Fred as he was called, and he lived for about 12 years!!  He kept growing and we had to keep getting him a bigger tank!  I am entering this card into the challenge this week which is Animal Antics.  I am hoping that a goldfish counts, as it is a fish and not really an animal, but hopefully it will not be too strict!
I like Kenny K images as I think they are perfect for cards for teenagers, as in the card below.  The way they are dressed and the events they are portraying are just brilliant.  I managed to use up some more paper from my stash on all these cards. It will take me years to use it all up though, I have a real thing for paper and have reams and reams of it!
Well, I had better go and make tea for Eric, he is watching the footie at the moment.  So much for the Football season finishing?  It is never off the bloomin TV is it?
Bye for now and thanks for stopping by!

I've made some cards using my favourite designs from Mo Manning  The Card above is one I made for Marie for her  Birthday.  I just love the wee fairies which Mo designs, and this one in particular.  Look at her wee pot belly!  It's soooooooo sweet!!  I have decided to enter this into Mo's challenge which is
Anything Goes

This image (above) is brilliant!!! What a perfect little picture of a wee girl who adores her Daddy!   I sold this card and it was a lady in her 40's who bought it, as she said that she will always be her Daddy's little girl!  AAAWWWW!!
Finally, this wee cowboy on his bike!  I love the feeling of speed which Mo has achieved with this image.  You know that this wee man is simply tearing along on his tricycle!!
I had a wee cowboy hat charm left over from a scrapbook layout and it was just perfect for this card.
I'm off to plant up some pots for the garden.  It is still in a mess, as the rain has been dreadful, and we haven't got the new patio laid yet.  I'm going to fill the pots, but I don't know where I am going to put them!!
I'll get as much done as I can before the rain comes on again! LOL!!!

I hope your weekend is good wherever you are!  Remember, I like to read your comments, so please leave one if you have stopped for a visit!

Challenges Card

I have lots of images which are coloured, but I haven't got round to making into cards.  I've decided to use some of them up, and here is the first one.  This is a Lili of the Valley little girl stamp, called 'Daisy Chain' in front of a Magnolia background.  I have made a lacy frame using a Martha Stewart Punch around the page stamp.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid, and the leaves were punched out using my Cuttlebug.  The wee girl is mounted onto foam pads to give a bit of definition to the card and balance the flowers opposite.

I am entering this card into the following  challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Challenge ----Anything Goes
